Hate saying it, but if the guy is a pedifile, he deserved it. Maybe a little karma going on there.

OMG !This guy (operator) obviously had more than one loose screw.Either way he will now be disabled and be on the dole, or in jail. The public pays either way.

We need to try and forget that this pervert had other issues with civilization and talk about the powerline strike. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that this was his first day on the job. Is that right?

Adam,The ACPA has just released two new DVDs. One is CO_WORKER SAFETY and the other is basicly the same stuff but in a format for READY MIX DRIVERS.I have watched both of them several times. There are (naturally) things I think need to be changed. But someone else made the effort and the DVD.These are by far and away the two best co-worker safety films for concrete pumps. Nothing else comes close. I would suggest reading the Marcus article before and after watching the film. There are areas where the film makes Broad Strokes and the information in Marcus material sort of colors in the detail.Everyone needs to watch these movies. If they are watched and really paid attention to; they will save lives. ;)

Todd : Got a follow up to this ? Would be interesting to know what the Official OSHA report says, and the outcome of their investigation, and the status of the op.

as an operator for one of the more prominent companies in SWFL i can confirm that the boss declares the 17FT rule but apon calling in the problems we get the same just get the job done response it seems that the companies are telling us to follow our training but bend the rules , and if u wont they will find some one else . ive been running a 42 for a little over a year and i have done the 3 slab a day for first homes and boomed VERY close to powerlines in lehigh , im sure adam knows what i am talking about. Its hard enough booming that close with a 28m let alone a 42m!!!
