Boom City on the Tulalip indian reservation opens every year around the middle of June thru July 4th. It's usually about 200 retail stands that move well over $1million dollars of fireworks from five different on site wholesale suppliers.

It got its name almost 30 years ago because of all the window shattering BOOMS. Since state and local laws do not apply on the rez, unsafe and insane (tribal) fireworks draw hundreds of thousands of people from all over the NW.

This year there's less than 200 stands but the crowds will still be big enough to back up traffic for miles on the freeway...

That's funny Moutain Man, The company that supplied the majority of my fireworks over the years is out of Mazula Montana, the R.Brown Co. "Great Grizzly Fireworks". I used to make a trip there every spring, now they're set up at almost every reservation around here.

Lummi is only an hour north of me, give me a holler next time around?
