Hi PDQ. So what is the preferred method for safely securing the boom hose to the boom? Is it a cable to a hook on the collar of the hose, or a safetly sling from the boom to the collar, or a safety sling from the boom to the actual hose itself? Careful careful here good buddy - a trick question. Your Pal Old Crumudgen |

Well first one would use a clamp , pinned of course. I prefer safety straps from boom to hose , not collar , have seen hoses come out of crimped ends. |

Cables or ok , but I prefer nylon straps. |

I think its a good question. I use a cable to the clamp, a nylon strap doubled around the hose with another strap from that to the boom. We are hanging deadly objects over unsuspecting heads. How could this not be a good question? |
