This will be a great oppertunity to get the class completed even if you only need to come for the Physical part to follow up what is already done. TT |

Does the boom inspection class also train how to inspect the outriggers that hold water and on some pumps the main frame ? |

Rusty22.
Good question, When we do a “boom Inspection” on a Putzmeister it is a complete visual inspection of the unit from the frame of the truck to the tip of the boom. This includes testing for cracks and measuring pin tolerances as well as ultrasonic testing.
Due to the outriggers on some pumps being water tanks, Yes it is important to thoroughly inspect them. Ultrasonic testing for wall thickness and visual inspection techniques are displayed.
This is also true for the Main pedestal some of them are Hydraulic and water tanks and need to be inspected.
So Yes the boom and the entire supporting structure is inspected.
