Boom over a house have done it alot but over wires never... They are not the sharpest knife in the drawer and what makes this even better is they are dumb enough to video it.

It may be my old eyes but i think the wies are behind the boom, not under it ???  if they are under it bad bad bad and if thats true my eyes are bad  bad bad. perhaps thats why i try to stick to 28 m pupms.

Boom is over the wires. Watch near the end as the second section is being folded. The wires are very low. I'm betting there was plenty of clearance when he was boomed out. 17 feet? We weren't there.

I thought my boom was slow! DAM, it must not be a Putz?

it dosent matter how if he had enough clearance or not, still not allowed to go over lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the 2nd video is of the same job. The wires are behind the boom in that one.

I think you are dealing with an optical illusion here. The video quality is not that great either. If he had been over those lines he would not have been able to drop his second section until he was all the way around towards the cradle. But as you can see he was dropping it as he spun around. If he had been over the wires he would have snagged them. I believe the wires are on the other side of the street. Remember OE-3 pics with the trolley wires and everybody thought he was tight next to them but when he showed a different angle he was 50 feet away. I do believe that is the same case here. Just an optical illusion.
