Has anyone had luck with pipe systems other than conforms and esser? Neither manufacture is making single wall 4.4" boom pipe anylonger and I am not a fan of Twin Wall. Todd I see there is an add by a chinese manufacturer Zhejiang?? Acme America also seems to not be building any 4.4" right now of any sort. Let me know if anyone has had success. Have also heard Turkey makes great pipe systems. Thanks.

Cost played a major role in us stopping 4.4” heat treated single wall production. Do to volume and demand for the single wall 4.4” pipe costing for the single wall system far surpassed the 4.4” Twin wall boom kits. We found it a disservice to our customers to charge a higher rate for the 4.4” single wall than our twin wall, especially when the service life of the 4.4”system already falls short of most customers expectations. As far as finding a pipe on your own I would like to remind everyone that these weight restricted booms are very sensitive to pipe weight. I would be very cautious putting a product that does not meet the weight tag attached to the turret of the boom.

Engineer 35. I understand your resoning for not making 4.4" that is a business desecion your company had to make. I dont know who you are but I'm assuming you are with CF. We have been buying CF products for over 30 years. Understand as you make business desecions based on cost and your customers so do I. I understand the weight requirements and feel confidant I will not be making ignorant decesions on pipe and weights. Thanks for your input.

Engineer35 is dead on the cost issue. That is why we never did go that route at Esser either. The cost of single wall in 4.4 would have been higher than the twin wall in every shape and fashion.
