Hey, I have a 99 Schwing 34X and the boom is really loose. The guy across the road said Putz comes around, inspects his and tightens it.. Just curious if anyone heard of this or knows if its possible to tighten/adjust them? When I swing and stop it has at least 1ft of side to side movement which is tough on the guy who holds the hose.. |

if thats all you have fully extended then i don't know what your complaint is. you can tighten up your gear lash for your slewing if it is out of tolerance. i believe that spec is between 8 and 40/1000th. if you are at the high end you can tighten it up. each turn of the gear box is 17/1000th. get out your manual or give the boys at schwing a call they will send you the procedure. |

Thanks for the reaponse. I will read through the manual and see if I can figure it out. If not I'll give Schwing a shout. Note- 1ft was all folded up. I figured that would tell me how much play is in the swivel alone, and not the boom. Fully extended its a lot more but I figured that play would be in the boom alone.. |
