Located in the Bayview district of San Francisco, Cal-Con Pumping is a wonderful success story. It is a woman-owned construction business that excels in a trade that is male dominated. Cal-Con Pumping provides concrete pumping services for construction projects across Northern California. It was recently awarded $2.95 million in contracts on the Doyle Drive Replacement Project, which involves replacing and improving the southern approach to the Golden Gate Bridge, in San Francisco’s famed Presidio.

A contract like this provides much-needed jobs for our community and gives an important boost to our depressed economy.

A visionary company such as Cal-Con Pumping needs an ambitious businessperson at its head, and CEO Julie Berry more than fits the bill. A former Visa Corporation executive, Julie oversees the company’s numerous management teams, including operations, marketing, sales, engineering and information technology. She is also in charge of establishing company strategies related to market segmentation and trends. Julie’s leadership has played a pivotal role in Cal-Con Pumping’s remarkable success.

Todd I don't  get why a pumping company is a contractor we are service providers Contracting requires a State Lic, I turned down a job at the Cumberland City Steam plant two weeks ago they wanted me to fill an 24 inch culvert pipe filling I could have done but it had to be caped which not being a contractor I turned it down I would have had to buy about 100 ft of 2 inch steel pipe to use a vent cause on end was covered up, plus purchased 10 yards of pumpable fill then build some kind of end cap, I new  how to do it but I'm not suppose to get that involed, plus we would have to take a 4-hour safety class all in all that little job would have cost them over 5,000.00 dollars.
