Has any body heard of any pumpers getting fined or threatened by the air resource emissions police to comply with the new tier 3 or tier 4 standards? I hear they are making guys re-power their pumps or face huge fines!

My advice is move out of Calif.

Follow me and move to Texas. California sucks. Nothing good about it at all. The government has over shadowed everything that was good in California. You can't even take a walk in the forest with our a permit. TAX TAX TAX and its going broke, roads suck, traffic sucks and some public schools only teach in classes in Spanish, that’s right  if your a white kid you have to know Spanish to learn math. My friend had to send all his kids to privet schools because they did not know Spanish.

Yea. Us middle guys. Working guys are getting the big screw. Rich have the money to lobby and fight in court the political issues that tax them. Lower class has nothing to fight for. Middle class or in this case the guy who owns and depends on equipment to have a business and go out and work everyday and its employees to feed their families will work harder and pay to keep food on the table.

Problem is. There is no work or not enough to earn money for the middle guy to buy a new piece to comply or even make is equipment to comply. So you run the pumps illegally and risk fines and more. Can't even sell your equipment because nobody can use it in Cali.

Yea. The school thing. It is all over the country Todd not just in Cali. They lay off teachers to cut budgets but ad interpreters where needed or hire biligual teachers to fill the voids to teach non english speaking kids. Yea we feel for the kids but our kids are suffering while the immigrants live with several families in rentals, do not pay taxes in probably most cases whether school. property or even payroll and they can go to a hospital and get care, get perscription on government plans, and more. I have lost my health care due to lack of work and cannot get assistance for myself or family. I am a middle class white guy. Now cannot afford health ins.

Something wrong. I go on a job at a Bank of America branch. Contractor is digging up for new concrete and pavers. I asked the foreman who was non english speaking but understood some if they could use a finisher for the day or a few days just to try and get a few days work. He pointed to Eight non english speaking guys and shook his head no. They came from 100 miles away to do the work in our community and nobody in the area could come close to the price when out for bid. What do you think is the reason????

So Todd. Do not take it personally in Cali. It is everywhere. The white middle class is no longer or going away real fast. Not a racist bone in my body. Just stating fact. Sub par cheap illegal work over tax paying, quality, born and raised in USA work.

Many as long as this stays in Calif I don't give a rats ass they been doing smog test since the 70's  where did they fine all these smart people to figure this stuff out, we are slowly getting these nuts back here you see it in some of the things our citys are doing.

Its just a way to raise taxes, they dont call them taxes they call them permits, licenses or fees.

You guys out there selling pumps and buying pumps in California. A company sold a 2006 TK 50 to a very big company in California a short time ago. Guy selling was from Cali as well and bought the machine off a bank as a Repo. California Machine since new but never Carb registered. Origiinal owner Ran it illegally.

Seller sells to a long time customer, the buyer goes to get it registered and got finded 2700 plus fees and new registration costs. The fines were directed at the seller and buyer. The state was getting its money from someone.

So because the previous owner who it got repoed from did not register and ran it a few years and did not have a carb badge on the engine, the seller and new owner were  dually responsible for fines and fees before they would give the new owner the badge for it.
