I hope these things stay some where else, thats all we need now plus they must be very heavy for our roads, batch plants need to make concrete and leave the pumping to pumpers my two cents.

I usually agree with you on alot of things Big ed, but this time I have to disagree. These types of units have been around for awhile but i have never seen one with this much reach. The 28 and 32 meter machines we all see and love are great for tight city streets and locations, but this machine with its pretty fair reach is the cats meow. Its kind of like getting your cake and eating it too.The barrel size looks smaller than normal to minimize weight issues, and also the boom is very unique looking as it seems slimmer in this picture , so the weight also has been reduced there. My only gripe would be because of my business is they may be slightly more difficult to inspect properly ?

Big Ed the benefit of plants running these machines is that you don’t have to explain what a pumpable mix is they learned it the hard way. They can also give you a good relation whit the plant. Because they are often overbooked and they need a last minute backup.

Kind of alot of responsibility. Before we were boom operators and pump operators. Now we have to be boom pump and mixer drivers? Now u have to get the boom hopper and drum clean. And I really don't see them going out in a truck like this to do a footing or something quick. I see a slow wheel barrel pour. Who do you blame when you plug up? It's your drum and your concrete. Not trying to bash anyone I think these are very cool machines and if you have to operate one of these things your pretty impressive.

Those things are not charged by the hour but by the minute. They take about 7 yard whit them above the 20 yard they become real expensive. I have heard of customers that have good rent a 52 instead of dragging hoses whit a pumi for 2 hours.

And those over a building jobs are the most difficult whit a pumi. You have to trust on the electronic hopper full system. Because there is no visual between the poor and the hopper.

I have heard of pumi ops that had two yards behind the pump because the system fails.
