CIFA © Truck© mounted concrete pump K62H ¨CXRZ CARBOTECH SERIES CIFA LAUNCH THE NEW CARBOTECH SERIES ¡°H¡± WITH PLACING BOOM IN COMPOSITE MATERIAL CIFA K62©H with pumping unit HPG 1808/1113 ¨CIF9, is the most innovative truck©mounted concrete pump in the market. The boom with the last three sections in composite material, CIFA patented, is the lightest and the most resistant in its segment having absolutely high performance in rigidity. The boom has been already tested to fatigue for more then 10 years of equivalent work. The K62©H can be mounted on 10x4 truck axles and total weight is within 53 Ton, a new frontier also for future applications or developments. A six¨Csection, 62 meter boom (vertical length) , with 125mm diameter, double layer pipeline (CIFA Long life Pipes), and ¡°RZ¡± folding system. Outriggers: on the front, ¡°X¡± style diagonal outriggers with sequence controlled, triple telescopic opening; on the rear, swing out outriggers for a quick and easy set©up. Pumping unit HPG 1808 ¨C IF9 (close loop) with reversal flow: high performances, high pressure and output, high reliability and easy maintenance, the S©valve is 9 inches to guarantee an optimum concrete flow high suction performance and efficiency, with low wear. CIFA K62©H is available in standard equipment with double thickness concrete pipes in high resistant steel, Aluminium hopper covering, 2 3 proportional radio control with two boom movement speed, synthetizer for automatic frequency search, 8 position joy stick and concrete flow rate regulator. Electronic stability control and data logger K©TRONIC patented, that control automatically, in every moment the stability of the machine giving signals to the users when the boom is in critical configuration. Without any manual intervention of the users the K©TRONIC increase the total safety and function as a data logger and black box of the complete machine). The K©TRONIC hardware is protected and the outrigger sensors are placed in safe positions. Centralized lubrication system for pumping unit. Centralized lubrication system for placing boom. Rear light on hopper and stabilization area

so how do you repair a boom made of composite material- when they say equivalent of 10 yrs work has someone had one for 10 yrs and worked it to its limits?  and it costs....?

My knowledge of composite materials is limited but I do know that some in cold temps become brittle, hope they've done thier homework.

Todd, thank you for the post on this complete new technology. Yes there will be many questions about how CIFA developed these boom's and their introduction to the pump industry.

For those who are attending the Bauma show next week please stop by and see us at our booth # 905/1.  We will have complete information about this remarkable engineering feat.

For those who will not be attending, if you send me your e-mail address I will forward to you photos and information about the composite booms.  In adddition the complete Bauma press release can be found  at www.cifa.com

For those wanting additional information please forward your e-mails to sales@cifausa.com and I will return information back to you after the Bauma show.

Thank You

Looks like I will have to brush up on my plastic welding skills :) This will change the industry if these booms prove longevity /safety and cost effective for the future.Good luck at the show in Bauma.

More of 10 years. the carbon sections of K62H and K45H have been tested in extensive way (completely monitored) on the bench test for 24 hours a day, for months.
