Does anyone here use scuba tanks to blow out there system? I run line pumps and use co2 I purchase from Airgas to blow out my system daily. It has been getting very expensive for several years now but not knowing how to set up a compressor filling station for myself I keep buying my air from Airgas. I average 4 jobs a day so on top of the expense it becomes another chore to go get refills every few days and having them delivered would only add to the costs that I'm trying to keep at bay. I do pass the expense on to the customer but enough is enough! I have a friend who is also a pumper in town that bought a military surplus diesel air compressor and has been filling his tanks for years but he doesn't seem to want to show me how to set myself up with a filling station of my own. Despite us being friends, I guess he doesn't want to help the competition so to speak. Anyone here do the same if so can you steer me in the right direction? Can I use the standard construction diesel air compressor that I use for my jack hammers? In the meantime I'll keep searching the Internet,YouTube and calling Air compressor suppliers and scuba shops too. Thanks in advance |

Before I make any suggestions I will assume that you know the dangers of using compressed air to clean out system and that done incorrectly is extremely dangerous. As long as the system you are clearing isn't crazy long any regular petrol or diesel air compressor will do as long it has a decent tank attached to it. I've personally never heard of someone using bottles of co2 to clear lines and wonder where the idea came from. |

Computers, always a problem. Keep computers away from concrete pumps :) |
