We have a 05 concord 40 m that is loosing almost 1 volt between the battery box and where power comes into the control panel. We are having issues whit the pump that kinda point to low voltage . I have checked alternator cables connections everything in the battery box looks great and are getting almost 14 v at the battery's . They only have one 8 awg wire that runs power into panel which looks tiny compared to our putz power wires. Is somebody else having problems like these? Wud to small of a wire lead to this? if so why wud the wire be to small in 1st place? |

your grounds cleaned and tight? |

besides the ground i would check and see if there are any kinks in the cable, or any kind of other damage to it. If the cable would be too small, it would heat up during use, grap it with your hand while your are pumping, to see if it gets warm ( turn everything that is electrci on to get the highest amp draw) if you are still unsure of the sizing, make a new, bigger cable. If your alternator is charging 14volts, and you receive 13 volts at the panel, you are still in the green, i would not be concerned unless voltage goes below 12.7 volts |

I dont think the wire would be to small if its the way it was originally made. What is the problem u are having that maked u think its a voltage problem. I have a 07 40m concord and I might be able to help you out. |

All connections are good shape and u cud hardly call it a cable it's actually a single 10 gauge wire(I was wrong about the size) and it may not be original we just got this pump a year ago. The wire does get hot is wat makes me feel it's to small and back at the rear panel it drops below 11 v on some wires. The issue we having is wen ur pumping and u switch it to reverse on remote sometimes it will go to the end of stroke before it actually switches. |

Tommorow ill take a look at my machine and how big the power wire is. Now for the finishing the stroke issue does it also happen when u just stop pumping cuz it could be a valve on the top of ur pumping valve box could be sticking I had an issue like that where I would stop pumping and it would continue the stroke sometimes it would even switch the stroke by itself. Check to see if any of the coils on the pump valve block gets hotter then any of the others if u have a gun to check temperatures it makes it alot easier for you |

No it never does that. Seems like its in the reversing valve or coil. Without the pump on we can keep switching between forward and reverse and if u listen close u can actually hear it switching but after about the 5th time it no longer switches. |

Yeah could be over heating the coil be careful with over heating coils if its like my pump they can burn the circuit boards pretty quickly we have had it happen more then once but I would think its definitely in the reversing valve/coil see if when u push in the over ride on the coil if it goes in easily or it may not at all. Sometimes mine do that cuz of all the moisture in the winter and all the salt they put on our roads definitely not good. Are ur relays all in good shape maybe try placing a new one on the pumping relays just a thought start with the small things |
