Just keep in mind.

They will both get the job done. Do you need all the electronics, are your guys skilled enough to keep up with all the Putz bells and whistles.

Most important. Cost of Parts.?

They will both get the job done and well. Does a name make you more profit or give you rights to charge more on site?

Both are good pumps. Both will get your work done and last you a long time. Both are proven in our markets.

Totaly agree with JABA. Putz was the world standard. But to complicated machines now. Not saying I can't mannage with them but it so useless. Concord is a delight to work with compared to putz.

I even find putz a bit scary pump. Ok they pump like hell!! But if I stand on inside job with 100' 2,5'' hose I rather have the concord than the powerfull putz. I've blown some hoses with putzmeisters so bad the whole room needed to be repainted. Simply to powerfull.

For me safety is all about feeling that you have 100% control over your pump. I have that feeling much more with a simple pump like concord. The putz is living his own life.

Anyone who says concord over putz has absolutely no idea what they're talking about - not my opinion, FACT. First,  You can discount the opinion of everyone saying that korean pumps are putz copies.  Those people are solely speaking in reference to aesthetics.  Hydraulically there are no similarities at all.  Korean pumps are poorly engineered, have awful hyd systems, use inferior steel during construction, use cheap hyd valves, spools, and seals.  These are the factors that matter when asking about equipment superiority.  That said,  all this results ina cheaper price.  If you're doing big commercial jobs daily, then the only question is putz or schwing, considering any other brand is moronic.  If you do residential jobs (100 yards is large to you) then a korean pump should suffice because the inevitable problems shouldn't occur for quite a while when used gently.

Holding valves on a Concord are not protected So dont bump one.

Well parris. Maybe you are not so good at treating your equipment with care.. If all you do all day is pumping flat out and abusing your machine then yes.. Schwing would be more durable. But there are a lot of places on the world where its not regular to have 500+ yard poors every day.

Maybe its a long time since you got a new Putz but the latest models... OK the ''Hardware'' is from superior quality like Schwing. (axept the plasic hopper pards which is a disaster) I agree on that one. But the complicated electrics.. Who knows how long before we get some massive problems with that. Specialy if you drive around everyday abusing the machine. And then its not just to switch a coil or valve and of we go.. You will need a laptop and electrician to fiks the problem if you can even find it.

Don't get me wrong.. 10 years ago I would swear with Putz. But they fckd up the brand with to much engineers sitting behind their desk finding more and more stuff just to keep them self at work..

The first Jun Jin was sold, delivered and pumping in this country new in 1998. It is still pumping full out today. 15 years with no major issue. Boom passes inspections, just general wear and up keep.

Any mechanical engineer should advise you (without prejudice) that "a proven design over a longer period of time is the direction you should follow" seeing as Putzmeister's new generation pumps are still relatively new to the market and the Concord is utilising some of Putzmeisters old designs the no brainer for durabilty and reliabilty is the proven solution = Concord.

Hey Parris

No one has pumped more concrete than in China , in the last 10 years

And belive me brother its , ZOOMLION , SANY & XCMG ALL THE WAY.

All the above machines very simple to run for the operator.

Thats why they have the CASH$$$$$$$$ TO BUY THE big 2 out.

I cant see any putz or schwing in this pic brother.

You are very incorrect about , boom steel , switchs valves all the same , rexroth , hawie bosh  HBC RADIO.

Happy pumping............................................

Jaba,

Do not be fooled by picture propaganda. This part of the world is the best. Look at what North Korea does to its people. Even most factory pictures are Photo Doc.

Sany and Zoomlion both tried its products here and they could not perform. They bought Putz and Sany because they needed quality pumps in China and could not bring them in unless they established a Chinese control. Government monies bought the two complanies hands down. Zoomlion bought CIFA straight up but CIFA really was a ghost of vendors in a Parlay building pumps and mixers but under Italian recievership. Zoomlion really got nothing. Sany and XCMG got debt and money pits our of Schwing and PUtz as both were bleeding bad at that time and the Euro was getting killed.

Putz and Schwing are great products. Shame to have this happen to two greats. But do not compare performance with these other pumps in performance or in anyway.

I came to think today.. If the only way to make good money on a machine is to buy the most expensive hightech superquality option... Than why do ya all build your pumps on MACK trucks ?? Undecided

The oLdest putz i've worked on is a 1995, so i cannot speak to what putz was doing before then, but the statement regurgitated by everyone that the koreans are putz copies or "old putzs" is a complete falsehood.  First, putz (at least post-1994) didn't use open loop hydraulics.  2nd, the valving and electrical circuits are completely different (in both actuality, and the theory behind the electrical circuits).  Structurally speaking, the design is a putz copy, unfortunately they use cheap steel and you will not get the longevity that putz/schwing offer.  Like i said,  if you do not pump at great volume then a korean pump should save you some money, and probably won't be a ton of problems.  If you pump high volume, then decide between a putz or a schwing.  Don't be fooled by the knotheads saying they're just old putzs, because they're more similar to old schwings than putzs (open loop, hydraulic switching).

Schwing! Schwing! Schwing! Concord and the rest might be cheaper but will never last long as schwing. Durable, reliable.
