would have to say that when they accepted the hot load the risk became their responsibility. Also solution is as simple as stripping the break light wires from the trailer (or any where) to steal power off the air compressor or the truck.

BTW Bob the pump does have a manual override they just waited too long to change the battery. My personal opinion is that poor decisions were made from start to finish on the job. The end result whether I agree or not- the RM company paid for half of the bill and the pump manufacturer paid for half. My customer in the end benefited from others sympathy.

myself hotmud wouldnt be in my pump . as soon as the pump goes down id clean the hopper out with readymix trucks water hose. or they would be a serious problem with me and the readymix company, customer, and my company. its my problem when this happens.

It sound like a trailer pump so why not use jumpercables or move the truck battery to the pump.To me there is no excuse.I personaly lost my engine yes engineto a recalled head in a mack mounted 32 putz and cleaned out everything If you dont already know no engine no bypass.

I agree with Stoner. The operator is responsible, he shouldnt have accepted the hot load, its as simple as that.Goes in the big end, comes out the little....sometimes

It is squarely operator error. I never let them dump mud that is kicking, in the hopper. I had an alternator go out too, on a 32M. I jumped the relay for the pump kit, next to the battery box. That way I resevered what little power I had in the battery.
