Willie Robbins of Premier Concrete Pumping Inc., pours concrete into a hole in the pond in the Gateway recreation area to stop water from leaking into the earth. MURFREESBORO — City officials hope a concrete plug added to the lower Gateway pond Wednesday will stop the leaks that have cost the city at least $550,000 to repair since 2009. At least one resident, though, worries the recent $380,000 to $385,000 in repairs won’t address the hole problem near closed landfills. “If you see a large hole in the ground, you have no idea of what’s going on there,” said Amy Jacobs, who has lived in Murfreesboro since 2004. “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere in the vicinity if there’s a chance it could collapse.” Although Jacobs fears the city could be dealing with a sinkhole, Murfreesboro Environmental Engineer Sam Huddleston called the recent leak a “dropout” that could emerge as a sinkhole if the city ignored it. Fine we get a ticket or go to jail if we just make a mess on the street but they can pour thousands of yards of concrete in a hole at a lake? Sure we are good with that? |

I'd be bored after the first day. The double ended hose is for a possibility of excitment. Good yardage job. Should be a 5inch double ended Must be nice to stay clean at work |
