Hi. I'm a homeowner with an old house that has a dirt floor for a basement. I want to put a few inches of concrete down to make it usable for storage space. The bulhead door is tiny, so I thought that the best way to get some concrete in there would be to pump it in. I would like to find a contractor or two to do this for me maybe, right after the holidays in January. I'm in Central N.J. between Freehold and Princeton. Zip Code is 08512. I guess any replies can be put here on the board and I'll respond to them. Thanks for your help. |

I would suggest find a finish crew in the area that has experiance. Then ask them who they like using the best as far as redi mix and also for a pump. It sounds like you would need a line pump. Get a list of companies and see who has the most reasonable rate and make sure they will not leave your yard a disaster when they are done. Sometimes it is worth it to pay a little more per hour to a company that will take the time to clean any mess and not destroy plants and grass in the process. |

Thanks. The bulkhead door is only a few feet from the street, so a line going into the basement is no problem. I guess the finish crew does the screeding and floating and all of that stuff? |
