more education is still needed for boompump operators concerning safetyregulations. is anyone willing to startup a modular safety online workbook. not everyone has the opportunity to go to seminars, lack of time, lack of interest of the people in charge in the companies...etc. i have the opportunity in my firm to get educated and updated on a regular basis. basic safety specific safety maintenance concrete quality environement safty logbookkeeping i would try my best to help.

Problem is not so much that these kind of guys don't have time to go to seminars actualy.. Question is.. If you're so stupid that you think you can stand so close to that edge .... Than... Will you ever learn how its done??? Or should you not be on a pump at all??? Lucky no one got hurt!!!!!!

Many.. I also think you're funny!!! lol

I always look for the lighter side, but, this is an excellent example.Should one of the members know who the operator is,suggest this website.Sometimes we have to learn from our own mistakes, this could have been tragic.I have no explanation,no injuries, damage minimal, pride needs a bandaid.

Ya know, sometimes it's how we explain things that it sinks in.I screw up every day,98% of the time I catch it before anyone sees it.

Have a safe New Year

just another case of "this is were i need you to setup cause we cant block traffic" gone bad

or maybe hes one of those "i set up like this everyday"

or even better "thats were the last guy set up"

on the bright side no one was hurt, and at least he didnt start the year off on a bad foot,"if he still has  job that is

hope you all had good year and a better one in 2011

no the contractor is telling the operator that since we got you hooked to the wrecker and there is only a couple more yards to finish lets just do it." The last pump operator did it"

really dont understand accidents like this, looking at the site from the pics looked like he had plenty of other options for setups

and definitely too much mud on the driver side of the hopper, no way that outrigger could handle the weight.

I'm not really an idiot  I just play one at work. Probably too worried the mixer couldn't back down the street.

maybe he just needed that extra couple of feet to get the corner so he just layed it over

TooTall 01-05-2011

The reason this happened is because that guy has probably cheated & cut corners hundreds of times without incident or accident... until That one time...

The operator is asking the contractor..... "What do you mean I have to go take a drug test?"
