We have been using krete killer (acid) its 250.00 a gallon and dosent work so good and sucks to use. The boss said he heard of a product called " Backset" It apparently dosent contain any acid and is not a caustic chemical. Anyone ever use it? Does it work?

most of the ready mix trucks around here use it and it seems to be working good for them. very little effort is required to get thick concrete off and can be left on for long periods of time until you are able to wash it off. the longer it stays on, the weaker the bond of the concrete gets from my understanding. haven't used it personally but doesn't rust near as bad as "acid" products

Ive never used that product but I  do sell a awsome product called Concrete Blaster. It contains natural acid(made from grapes) and works like muratic acid but not at all as harmfull. Call me if you want to try it or you can e-mail me @ socon.bjlowe@hotmail.com.

It runs about 85.00 Per gallon

Cheeper if you buy in bulk.

I've been using back-set for two years now. One of the better products I have used to date!

I can't help but reflect on a pump that has been in service for  several years. This pump is operated by OE3,it takes hard work to be a star and he has displayed this in his pump.Keeping a clean unit takes much effort on the operators behalf, not out of a can.

Thanks Bob

2 products I have found that work really good for me.   One is called Sandstorm, the other is called liquid hammer,  both cause the concrete to turn to putty.  Been using both for a couple of years and seem to work pretty good.

Backset works well for us, esp on those hard to reach places that you cant get into to scrub.  Put it on and keep applying it so it stays wet then pressure wash it off.  Does not work well on the big stuff but the thin stuff or slurry comes right off.

OIL your pump! I've seen too many of these "non"corosive cleaners & concrete removers that still damage chrome! You may end up re-packing your shift-cylinders and replacing chrome rods?

Nothing beats plenty of oil and a good pressure-washing at the end of the day, + a scraper whenever needed.
