ConcretePumping.com 2011 Awards.

I love this time of year, it is the time of year that we can look back and see who has made a difference, who has the heart and desire to help and promote our industry. I love to be able to recognize those who for one reason or another deserve a pat on the back. Here is my list and why? If you would like to nominate someone I would love to hear it. This years awards will be presented at the World of Concrete 2012 by Todd Bullis (owner of ConcretePumping.com) and Rob Edwards (safety director for ConcretePumping.com)

Putzmeister

I love how well Putzmeister came to the aid of Japan right after the nuclear melt down at the Fukushima plant. Dave Adams, Gary Schmidt and others from Putzmeister did a great job doing what was needed to be done to help the Japanese people. I also love how Putzmeister shared the whole experience with us in the Concrete Pumping industry making us all feel a little bit like a hero. I think what Dave Adams has done for the Concrete Pumping industry is like what Ronald Reagan did for the republican party. You made us proud to be part of the Concrete Pumping industry.

Conforms

I love how Conforms has always been there working to promote safety in the concrete pumping industry. Conforms has supported or in one way or the other produced, engineered and implemented products that have helped to keep us all safe. I am pretty sure Conforms was the first CPMA certified company. Conforms standards are the standards our industry depends on since concrete pumping started. Conforms stands for quality and safety and I am proud to be able to honor them at this time.

Travel Tech

Allan Woods user name on ConcretePumping.com is Travel Tech. Allan works for Putzmeister, he manages the education center for Putzmeister. Over the years Allan has helped thousands of people but what I love most about Allan was that he enjoys sharing his knowledge with everyone and helping everyone he can. Allan started posting information on ConcretePumping.com a few years ago and has become an industry icon know to us all as Travel Tech. Knowing Travel Tech has been a great pleasure and if you have never met him go to the World of Concrete and at the Putzmeister booth just ask for Travel Tech and they will point him out. Thanks so much for all your hard work.

This is an outstanding thing that CP.com and Todd Bullis does for the concrete industry, the three picks are right on target and I applaud them and the difference they all have contributed to our industry.
