Got a serious challange here. We are going to lay out up to 500 meters of pipeline. Quite some up and down also. (100m out, 25m down. 100m out, 40m up, 230m out again. Going to poor about 12.000 m3 concrete, bout 500m3 at a time. But the biggest challenenge is that we have to cross over 70 meters of rough sea water. In adition it has to be possible for boats to pas through that 70m gap once in a while. The max hight of the boats will be about 6-8 meters to make it a bit easier. Not possible with any boom pumps on the site. Only steep rocky hills al the way round (which could function as an ancor for a hanging bridge) So we have to find a way to put the line over the water. Eighter with floating pontons which we can move when not in use (an idea which I don't like at all..) or some kind of easy bridge construction . The bridge construction would be prefered in my eyes. Any body know of some kind of light weight easy mount bridge construction that can hold a pipeline. Should be able to reacht the pipe in case of plugg.. There might be a nice reward for the one that comes up with the briliant solution
(No I'm not drunk.. All this is for real. They have come very long in the prosses of planning this. I only came in today so I'm also shocked |

Try anchoring a cable over head set a pipe or pole in concrete brace your poles with 4 guide line should work just fine. tell me if I win. |

You will have to wait untill tomorrow evening.. Going to do the night shift now so it will be dark. Taking pictures tomorrow afternoon and post them in the evening.. Biged, I was thinking about something like that to. Only thing is.. What if we plugg in the pipes hanging above the water? We can not reach them. Or maybe we can because we have a crane.. We could put a man in a cradle..

At least you are using steel so you could blow it out with water or Air |

DEP would be all over you if you tried to clear a plug over top of the water because its a "Hazardous material" LOL. IDK maybe your local laws are different. wet concrete spilled in the water is a big no-no around here |

Feasible to get several little cheap boats...maybe one under every 2nd or 3rd clamp? Should give you a bridge of sorts....70 meters with a good sloppy yard of grout should prime no problem. |

Yea.. Only that the 70m is just a small part of a much longer line. Up to 500m total. Small boats on rough sea is just the thing I want to avoid |
