What is the best procedure to rotate or change the cutting ring on a Putz.

Hello Seed, looks like your request has been unanswered so he it goes ,,,you will need to first remove the grease lines from the s-tube lock nut system behind the hopper ,remove the lock plate and back off the nut itself,( do not remove ) slide the s-tube back into the rear bearring case and access the cutting ring,inspect,rotate or change as needed,done ,,, put it back together,,,, before starting ,, sounds easy doesn't it ,,before you start clean all concrete from s-tube , you do not want to damage the bear pack at the rear of the machine,,,, hope this helps

The problem I am having is sliding the S tube back. What is the best procedure to move it back. Everything to this point was easy.

porta-power ,use the back of the hopper push the gland back.Sometimes a steel wedge on the back side of the gland or long pulling bolts or trade in your ---- for a -------,they are much easier to work on,one can change the ring in about an hour.
