Nice pics!!

I have a question though, and is not directly at you but why do you guys operate your boom in that postion ? Is it safer or easyer?? I have a 6 stage z , when im outside i operate it in an arc position , Ive done that with all the booms ive operated seems better and smoother for me ! Does it have something to do with the concrete? Im not sure can someone plz explain....

I personally think that the boom is a lot smoother in Z position. Another reason is you get a lot less drainage when you stop pumping. We also do a lot of deck pours and we are always z'ing in and out of buildings, windows, and doors. Why lift more weight than you have to. If you are flat out, and you come up with main and down with tip. Your picking up 4 sections of concrete, compare to one section, being your 4th section and down with tip. It really does'nt matter because you end up coming up with main anyway. I dont know I just think you can be a smoother operator in Z configuration. OPERATORS PREFERANCE THATS ALL.

In this particular instance I would be more concerned about the hyd pressure on the forms. If you look at it,single sidd forms just crooked. It any have done single sided forms you know who you are.

Nice pump, Nice pix, Awsome job site!

Using the 4th & tip section is also a bit faster than using the whole boom on an RZ.

Awesome pics nw!!  In a Z it smooths out the boom bounce a bunch, and makes it easy to go up and down when doing wall pours.  Here is a pic of me today with a wall pipe on doing 85 yards of 22' tall walls

agreed... when pumping hard, the Putz. 47RZ is much calmer in a Z formation.

Hey BigEd, yea the water is on the other side. You may be able to see the crane at the top on the other side of the dam, yea the crane is on a barge. This is a spillway, and there refacing it.
