DAN WEATHERTON

Dan Weatherton was born June 15, 1956 in Greensburg, PA and moved to California with his parents at a young age.   Dan attended Condit School, Claremont High School and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of LaVerne.  Dan was taken by the Lord suddenly on Sunday March 11th, 2012.  Dan worked in the construction machinery industry for many years and was preparing to move to a new position in the oil field industry in Houston, Texas next week.  He is survived by his wife, Ursula, his son Kirk, who attends the University of Cal Poly, Pomona, daughter Kelsey, who attends the University of Honolulu, Hawaii, a brother, Tim and his father Bob with his wife, Jane Goodfellow.  Dan enjoyed handball, working out, traveling and spending time at home with his family.  He was very proud of his children and maintained close contact with them even though they were away at college.   He had many friends in the community and the industry and will be missed by all.  Dan is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Weatherton, who assuredly was there to greet him when he arrived in heaven.

Services to be held Wednesday, March 14th at the Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd, Claremont, CA 91711 (909.622.1217)

He will indeed be missed, he was  great story teller and a trusted friend.

I worked with Dan for a few years here at CF.  Some of that time was spent with Dan in his West Coast Territory.  The one thing I have to say about Dan is he always had a smile on his face & his optimistic views abounded.  If something was bothering me, & I was down in the dumps, call to or from Dan would leave me feeling better.

Personally, I choose to remember the smiling & happy-go-lucky Dan Weatherton that I knew & loved as a friend & co-worker.  He'll be missed by many, especially those of us whose life touched.

God speed my friend!
