In my opinion, pumper805 does not have a safe dunnage stack. Yes it gets the required height to level out the pump, but it is in a straight stacked pile witch makes it unstable. A pile that tall needs a big wide base like 6x6's and then reduce with smaller size as you get to the top. As you are pumping the machine shake could cause the stack to be unstable and fall over like a jenga pile and then we all know what happens.
Obviously he got away with this but like Bob always says you can probably get away with it 99 times out of 100 but why risk it.
You will not find my machine stacked up like that...ever. The reason I know this is that one of our machines did the same setup several years ago and the pile gave way.
Like I said it's just my opinion. |

Very good Mike, i agree with you and good job pointing it out. I love the fact that we can talk about this stuff on the site. I think we need to see some good dunnage pictures. Anyone have any? |
