deck pipe with a 5" double ender and necessary adapters. that way you dno't have to worry about the hose bouncing too much and generally making a huge mess of your partners hopper. also, it keeps the trucks flowing more smoothly at your pump.

There are pumps out there that are so lite-in-the-ass that while boomed over the cab you can tell how full your hopper is by how far your rear outriggers are off of the ground. If you are booming into one of them........ fill the hopper.

In every other case; hook into the deck pipe.

deck pipe all the time less mess youve only got the boom to wash out you dont have to speed up or slow your pump down set your pump up right stick the boom out then reajust your out riggers to counteract the weight transfer then no nodding donkey pumps works evertime

Hook into the deck pipe and you can even suck back both booms easy and clean.

We did a base slab (post tension) on a water tank several years ago. This was the most impressive pour I have witnessed.2 pumps were driven out to the middle on cribbing and boom plus line.We measured from the deck 45 to a make up and another 45.I was in the shop during the pour as support with my crew and only saw pic's.

If there are any members from bbcp Denver on the list perhaps you could find/furnish pic's.My bonnet is off to the operations manager there as he hit a home run with that pour.

oh, by the way... I agree with Many, about the set-up..

If you are going to do high yardage, take out your 6 to 5 reducer and replace it with 5inch pipe and a 45 @ the bottom, then put two or three pipe on the ground,(preferably secured via blocks, stakes, etc.) then hook into the pipes with your 5inch double end,  and for good measure the pump supplying the mud should be as flat as possible...

Don't forget your BACK-UP double end hose too, LOL!!!
