I was at a Mack Dealer in Vegas talking to a Service Tech working on a Bus.

They were repairing the entire fuel system on the bus from the fuel tank to the injectors.

The problem was due to a mistake, when fueling some one put DEF “Diesel Exhaust Fluid” into the Diesel Fuel tank. This causes major problems, they had to replace the components and sensors in the fuel system, this will apply to ALL Brands of Diesel equipment. The tank for DEF is marked with a Blue Cap in the USA, there is a reducer to stop from filling diesel into the DEF tank, but the Smaller DEF Nozzle will go into the Diesel tank.

Please train all your personnel the correct fueling procedure, this will be a COSTLY $$$ mistake
