Hello everyone,

I was wondering when I comes to delivery cylinders that are chrome lined is there tolerances for scores/marks in the cylinder or do they require changing with these scores?

A friend stripped his down his pump and found these scores ( image attached )

Thanks for any help

I am not an expert. the chrome looks good so maybe you could rotate the barrels to get some time out of them till you found a good deal on new ones.

I do not agree with this ,but,I have had trucks handed down to me that hold zero water in the water box.If the box was filled all the water would seep through the jugs in to the concrete, not good.So no water was put in the box and the truck still pumped, although the oil has no cooling source. You sound concerned ,which is a good thing, run your truck and monitor the water box, just like the experts said.I am a bit OCD about hydraulic oil cleanliness and having your wear parts in good shape is a neccesity.          If you have the means, change your material cans and you will be good for a minimum of 5 years of average concrete puming
