For 3" and smaller I love Olin's kevlar reinforced hoses, lightweight and strong.
For bigger I don't have a favorite, yet.

any hose (except steel braid) kink easily if not properly pulled, when i line pump i always have to reteach laborers to pull, cause  its my tail thats runninng the hose,

and on a personal note olin's kevlar hoses are the best, their first ones had a flaw but that problem was fixed

My steel braid hose's are over three years old a couple are weaker and will kink it your not careful when I have someone new pulling you must watch real close I know someone that has some of Olins hose's,we both run OLIN pumps they are the best ball valve pump on the market bar none.

Could'nt find any info about them online, so the weight may vary from mfg to mfg, but it's about 50% lighter I think.
But so is the price too, about 50% higher, atleast that's what we pay here.
The walls are thinner and with just a thin rubber layer, so they don't last as long if you put them over sharp edges like forms and stuff. I wore out a brand new hose on one pour because a edge I did'nt see in the dark.
But on other surfaces they last as long as the thick and heavy rubber hoses.
And because they are so thin, you can almost see the stones passing through it, it's much easier to beat out a plug. Alot less recoil than on rubber, so all you need is just one hit with the hammer.
I love them, and so will you once you've tried them.
