This has nothing to do with concrete pumping but this was so funny.... Yesterday I was driving to the job site and I am driving through a new area and I see 2 people I am guessing husband and wife.... Anyway these 2 have a gas powered tamper and the guy is trying to start it and the wife has it leaned towards the garage door.... well this thing fired up and through the door it went I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.... and the look on there faces was priceless no one was hurt and then this woman freaked on her husband and walked away...... It is times like this I wish I had a video camera.....lol |

This is no joke! Years ago our dispatcher booked a saturday job for our line pump. When the operator got there, there was a 10 yard dumpster in front of the house. It seems that the customer had broken up his patio with a sledge hammer, and wanted us to pump the broken up concrete into the dumpster! The operator had to explain, thru tears of laughter, that he couldn't accomplish that feat. The home owner was sure it was cement(after all they were "cement trucks & cement finishers" when it was wet and concrete when it dried! And that we were "concrete pumps"! |
