so you are saying that only the strong survive? Correct... The pump companys that sold on service and not on price will be just fine. The companys that keep and retain the best help and treat them with a little dignity will be fine. The companys that hold meetings with their employees and try to keep them in the loop, and keep the moral up will be just fine. The companys that run safe equipment and try to put a good product on the field will be fine. The companys that build customers for life will be fine. The companys that try to put people in the right position to grow the company will be fine. The companys that bought equipment and payed down their equipment will be fine. The companys that are always in front of their customers making sure that their needs are being met and exceded will be fine. The companys that are always looking at ways to make their service better than their comptition will be fine. Is your company doing any of this????

Art... I agree with you, but in all my sales one thing is for sure. If you sell on price you go broke. If you are a sales man calling on A CUSTOMER and the first words outof your mouth are I CAN DO ITCHEAPER you are not a sales man you are a idiot. The biggest mistake in sales is talking money right off the bat. Words to live by... THERE IS ALWAYS A SALE BEING MADE. EITHER YOU ARE SELLING YOUR PRODUCT OR SOMEONE IS SELLING YOU WHY THEY CANT USE YOUR SERVICE!!!! |

These all seem like "no brainers" in any business, not just concrete pumping; however it seems like some of the "big names" in the pumping world may need a refresher course. |
