I have wanted to post this for a while on some the dumb answers we are given by the people who deliver us the concrete.

My all time fav so far was.... Sorry I was talking to some women on sex chatt line, another is why do you keep putting your thumb towards your mouth. Oh here is another what is that thingy going back and forth in that box thingy. spoken by a women on her first day driving a mixer...lol

Z, This is no lie, I had a a ready mix guy back up to the pump and walk the whole length of the pump and walk back and ASK ME WHAT THIS THING WAS,No Sh--

I did a footing last year and the first that arrived would not pull up to my pump, just thought it was a little odd. Mind you my machine was setup at the only acess to this house. This guy gets out of his front discharge and puts all of his chutes on, I thought that was very odd. As I am finishing up tarping the back end. This supposed ready mix driver walks over to me and asks when I will be pulling out so he can pull in. At this point I don't whether to laugh or just hit him. Needless to say I had to give him the "discharging at a concerte pump 101" class.

Hey Shortbus was that plumber moonlighting....pardon the pun.....lol or was he trying to dry up the mud with paper towel....lol If you guys ever get a real green and I mean green mixer driver throw him/her a roll of paper towel and tell him/her to dry it as it comes down the chute.... You will be surprised on how many will try....lol I did it one time last yr and as myself and the wall crew watched and laughed this guy did it until he relised we were playing with him....lol

I asked a redi mix driver to return back to the pump and fill my water tank up. When he came back to the pump i jumped on my water tank grabed his water hose and started to fill. He gave me 15 gallons of water and stated to me. "i cant give you anymore water, the concrete bacth plant might be out of water there too" He was new and i never saw him agian.
