I never take mine off of my pump unless I put my 5 inch hose on then I put another strap on that one but I rarely use my 5 inch hose but yeah mine are always on I weld 2 large chain hooks on to my reducer then I choke my strap on to my rubber and hook on to the one loop then choke the one loop and hook it to a hole thats on the end of my boom works really well and ive had it save my ass once during a pour

where I work we are required to completely remove reducers and hoses from boom at job completion, so we can inspect reducer wear and also tip elbow wear. So every day we hook everything up.

I like the sounds of your setup though.. sounds like its a pretty sweet one!

Yeah I can completely understand where they are coming from its important to check that stuff out for sure. I check mine out on a regular basis atleast once a week. The loops on the reducer are really handy thats for sure especially for those times where im short rigged and cant bring the boom to the back of the truck I just undo the clevis and disconnect the clamp and everything stays together that way there is no excuse When u connect it back together the strap is right there just Screw the clevis and done deal
