Was out with a new Putz 36z today and had some problem with the EOC. Everything was working as it should apart from when I switch on the pump. In that case the EOC would not react. I had to rev it up manualy and then start the pump and the EOC would than pick up the right RPM..

Any idea what this could be??

Is it posiable that you were in ECONO gear .

Most PM units with EOC will pump in 9th or 10th but  EOC only works in 9th.

The boom functions but when you turn on the pump it wont work properly.

If its in High gear it isn’t a problem it is the way it works.

You could also have issues with the Detent switch on top of the Trans that tells the system it is in 10th gear.

the switch can stick even though you are in 9th, also concrete can get on top of the Trans, this can vibrate and cut the wires to short out the system, this can cause an intermittent problem.

There are also other potential issues, you should talk to the factory to get them answered.

What is the brand of the truck the unit is mounted on Dipstick. I know my unit won’t rev up above 990rpm when it is in high gear and then it won’t pump  We game aware of that on my second job whit that unit. Thanks to our excellent dealer I had on the phone I good start the job by switching of the rpm sensor in the computer. One hour later he called back by matching the vin number with the truck dealer they game aware this unit only operate in low gear.

Its a SCANIA with a very simpel gearbox. 6 gear with splitter and a crawling gear. So 13 gears instead of 16. I had it in 6 low. So that would be 12th gear. the next highest possible gear.

If I reved it up to like 900 rpm and then switched on the pump it worked fine. Then the EOC would rev it to 1350 or something like that. Only if I didn't rev it up myself first it would not react..

Not a big problem.. Only a bit irritating..
