How many yards of concrete can I expect to get out of esser twinn wall?What kind of pipe do you guys use and how well do you like it?Thanks Toby

just changed out a set of esser twin wall on a 39x with a 110 thousand yards threw it . The pipe was worn but the 90's still had some life left. I went direct to esser for the replacement set no middle man . complete replacement set from the hopper reducer to the tip including heavy wall 90's cost around 12 thousand painted . Im happy with there product.

I have the same experience with Esser twin pipes, around 100 thousand before they need change. Maybe some 90s before that, but depends on use.
The 90s and some of the pipes on my Putz have flow directions on them, so they're really built though.

Putz Proline (esser) 67 HRC, with flow direction and Carbide inserts - not cheap. The way they wear depends on how you operate your boom, concrete pumped, reach of boom what jobs you do and how religiously you utilise 45 degree pipe rotation. Generally you cant put a value of how many meters you can pump. However as a guide, the higher quality pipes should be used more deck, 1st, 2nd and maybe 3rd stage on a 4+ multi stage boom.

other stages use the 'cheaper' highest grade conforms twinwall which can take some punishment without putting a dent in your budget, as they wear around 3 times quicker due to excess friction caused by gravity.

There's no doubt esser is quality.Over the years I have found conform (usa) products above average in more than one arena.They do stand by there products and warrenty never a problem.

I have always been an advocate of turning/rotating pipe.The thing I have found is 99% of the operators could care less,just give me pipe.I understand this was a very brash statement.Just look around you at what the operators do over a years time and how many really get into the nuts and bolts of things.

I commented on the question about esser pipe. But both esser and conforms make superior products. When i tried to buy conforms pipe the sales rep. said i had to buy threw a distribrutor. Esser allowed us to buy factory direct and save on the dealer mark up. I have rotated pipe in the past before and have also not rotated pipe . now i just mearsure the pipe with calipers and do the math to measure the wear amount on the inner carbide. I do this when in am changing out leaking gaskets at the 90's. I do however flip and rotate the material cylinders . Buts that another story. 

Would like to suggest try to twin wall pipe and elbow with high chrome layer, and it is high wear resistance.
