Daewoo, Hanwoo, Everdigm. All the same. They are still a Hanwoo company. The pumps have a lot of Putz in them. Pumpstar had a joint venture with them that did not last long before Pumpstar went under. It was a bad time for everyone when they got together. THey are really far more proven worldwide then Sany. If we had a market to sell to I think they would sell a few. |

DCP - Talk to Everdigm - I am sure they would want to know this. They are a good pump and like anything mechanical. Needs support after the sale. You cannot grow a company without support. This is what makes Alliance a good partner with Jun Jin. Schwing is having trouble supporting their customers with parts and it is hurting a great product and name in the industry. Its very hard to watch this happen with Schwing. I am sure Everdigm would appreciate the input. |

I don't understand how its possible that in these bad times schwing has trouble providing parts.. Shouldn't they be happy to sell as much as possible? Shouldn't they have overcapacity right now since they sell less pumps? Sounds very strange to me... |

Hey. Over inventory is cash on the shelf. They are cash strapped like many companies. Some standard parts take weeks to get. Not just Schwing but many companies have had to reduce inventory. Business is not good, parts are a big cash outlay to inventory. Like I said. Schwing is not the only company in any industry this happened to. We have waited weeks for pre paid parts. I mean sometimes 8 weeks. Even for customers who have always been good pay with them. Just a good company stuggling through this nightmare economy. Why do you think Alliance got into the Schwing parts business.? |

I hear Schwing no longer has a parts problem. I am told they are fully stocked up. They may not have parts for a 20 year old pump in stock but thats normal. |

Then that just happened. I hope its true Todd. As of last week there were several backorders on common parts for 2005 32 meter. Great pumps. Best selling used anywhere. Just cannot get the parts. I hope this is true and parts are now there. I heard this a few times over the past few years. Lets keep the glass half full. will call monday and see. Thanks Todd

Yes Many. We all know this story. THat is what I had said previous. They were caught like many companies in this economy. And I told I am a Schwing Fan for sure. That article was 2009 but truth be told it states their problems started two years prior to the article which makes it 2007. Schwing was hurt long before that point. 1994 Putz took a giant chunk out of Schwing when they build a facility in Wisconsin. Schwing bad mouthed Putz like no other instead of working to update its equipment and hold its market share it sat on its hands and thought nobody can beat us here. They really did not work very hard to keep its customers. Year after year and chunk after Chunk they lost market share here in the states. Same great product and quality but their commitment to the customers was poor and the dealer network they committed to was now working with the buyers in their market place because the dealers competed with them. Did not take long as pumping grew here to for this newer buyer of pumps to figure that the dealer was making 30 and 40K off the pump sale and selling a pump service against them at a much lower price. Only thing in that article is telling of 2007 the factory was full which is false. Yes the bank came down hard on them, but the banks had seen Schwing operation working on a shoe string far before 2007. So when the shit hit the fan for the banks they were against a almost 100 million dollar debt from Schwing and no cash at the start of the recession and no orders. So they went to the collateral and it was leveraged so they had to put the stop to the operations and credit lines and force Schwing America to make some changes. I can remember at some point during the filing the judge not allowing Germany to fund America for some reason. I believe they needed over 100 million to pull out of Bankruptcy. During this time all vendors were cut to Cash only from Schwing and they ran the inventory to nothing for parts for replacement and building of new pumps. I know we all have heart felt feelings about Schwing. Product and People. But there is a story beyond the banks of mis management going back many years without name dropping. Even today this is still the best equipment for resale. Just cannot kill this equipment. Great performers, durable and proud name. It is like the American Flag for me. (Almost) But you all know that before the crap totally hit the fan they had management changes across the board. There were problems before this recession became a bank issue for them. Many. I am with you from a centimental point of view and product. But as competition from Putz, Jun Jin, Concord and others started to hit hard in late 90's and 2000's is when the problems actually start in White Bear. The upper management sat up on the THrone and watched others walk by them. by the time Germany realized it and started pulling the execs out one at a time it was to late and the recession hit. But for me as Many said. Go Schwing. |

I think Schwing is just as great as Putz. Like the rock design better that the S tube anyway... And love the way you can punnish a mixerdriver that is not filling up the hopper propperly. With a schwing they will only try once!! I've seen crete flying 10 meters high!! hahaha. Cant do that so easy with a putz. Resulting in a lot of air pumping because the mixerdrivers don't care. Very dangerous when pooring with a lot of line.. |
