TT,that's way to funny.I got hijacked by the Md office for a week while delivering a pump. They sent me over to Va on a boom plus just like yours. The office sure didn't want that call, send system. When I saw that job my mind went straight to that day.

Good call

is that coming off of the tip? nice. my first comany used to break the transition 90 off and go from there. we never thought about going throught he boom.

Interesting set up. I thought it was off the top of the 6-5? A bit less work than pulling off the 6-5. Where is it coming off of?

Looks to me as if he took the 45 loose from the deck pipe and turned it out just a hair and hooked in there  thats they way I like doin it!...

It's off the forty five at the top of the six to five reducer. Kinda pointless to pump through the boom when it's not unfolded? Too much clean up to deal with otherwise.

Too Tall, That is really inventive! Is that your idea?  I can't wait to try it! I bet we will laugh so hard. It looks funny. Everyone will be talking about it! I will be sure to give TT the credit!

Seed, It was'nt my idea, that's how I was tought to line pump off a Thompsen a long time ago, by flopp'n over the 90 before the turret and hooking up the reducers right off the side. It worked even better on a Tommy.

These lil fellas were the easiest to line pump with, just disconnect the 4" starter hose from the turret and pump on. This pump belongs to a friend of mine, it does as many line jobs as it does boom jobs. In other words it's a line pump with a boom on it.

That 845 is schweet!

You can prolly git another 5' of reech off the frunt with the MR Mack!!!

...and that's how ya do a line job with a 845 if ya can't git the boom up.

is that easier than pumping right off the back end? or did you not have a six to five reducer?

look to come off the 6 -> 5 and 45.  takes a good idea if you can go off the reduser side.

this is what i've come up with...for slow pumping

comments appreciated.

 No, I did'nt have a 6 to 5 reducer. We need one!

S.S. If you can get another 6" 90, run double 90s right off of the transition then it wont stick out on the driver side. Plus it gives you another pivot point to work with on tricky set-ups.

Great job young man Its very refreshing to see some using thier brain.  About half the jobs I did in NYC were done this way.  Thanks for keeping it safe and showing the youngsters a new  way to skin a cat

That was the only way to do the old Thompsons,so business as usual.

S.S. I converted your Five inch elbows into Six inch 90s. If you can get another 90, try it like this some time? I've done line jobs and placing boom jobs like this, it's alot less hardware to clean out.
