Really, so there is no chance in the frame flexing like their designed to do, and that's why the outrigger is up?    Stop trolling, super pumper

Mr P is just stating a fact. How many times have you had to adjust your outriggers, after set up?

With the putz 40 I use to run if I set up on solid concrete it would do the exact same thing.   Between flex and cylinders giving a hair it seems common.

Mister perkins i would continue to post whatever you like and if others dont like it there is ways for them to get over it!

This is a great topic to discuss.  Way to go Mister Perkins.  I live in the Northwest and soil conditions during the winter time around here can be anything but obvious.  Constantly re-checking your outriggers needs to be part of your jobsite routine.  One thing I do alot is preset the pump for outrigger settlement.  I'll set up up to a degree and half out of level towards the pour, then check and rejack my outriggers after priming and or during the job as needed.  It's almost always needed.  Be safe guys!  All the safety stuff and staying in our routines in order to be safe means NOTHING if we miss judge our soil conditions.  Its is the most important and most difficult stage of setup if you ask me.  When in doubt add more.  A larger footprint never hurts, not enough can kill.

I like mr perkins also. everyone gets a little testy once in a while, we are all big boys.

Whoever the commenter is really knows nothing about pumps! A floating outrigger is not a safety issue, unless it is the one you are working over! Ground conditions change, frames flex, NOTHING ever remains the same! Usually you can't raise an outrigger you're working over, as there's too much pressure, and truthfully, increasing the lift on opposite corner usually defeats the purpose! Mr Perkins, as much as I respect your right to have an opinion, presenting it as the only right one is detrimental to your character

Ok so I'm not the only one who thinks this topic is funny, not because of the advice to check your machine often while pumping, I totally agree with that. I just think it's comical that you get butt hurt when someone calls you out on something you post, I mean you NEVER do that to ANYONE else EVER right? .............I'm just sayin.

MP: My issue was that to allow the comment " That's real safe" to remain was not fair to the rest of us! It was said in a manner that was condesending! The commenter HAD NO CLUE!

not angry Todd.  Just get sick of a few guys that make it threw a house slab or a wall pour and now they experts on the subject.....  We all know you should keep your feet planted but that is not what he said.  He said that the foot your going over must be sinking for the oposing side to be up.  It's just not true, these machines are made to flex and if the outrigger your going over is not sinking it's not a saftey issue.. What about E.B.C , what about not being able to fully extend what's the difference?
