when i was in a 55m, 20 6x6x4'.  after a year the pads were still new.  10 4x6x4' would be fine for where i am now.

Took me 2 hours 2 set up on this job. Tried with every pad I had on the 61m. A stack of 2x4 I had them cut up and a pallet of plywood (c 2nd pic) didnt like how it was set up still and sent them 2 town to get a truck load of 4x4s. (we were way out in the sticks)And 2 really top off my day I got stuck gettin out! Took a very large tow truck and a huge trackhoe they brought in from the tow company. 22 hr day in all.

In the land of super soaked & saturated soil because of our 8 or 9 month monsoon season, in the winter months I'll carry as much dunnage as I can find & fit on the pump. Besides having to sometimes build a pad that looks like a small fishing dock there are also plenty of mountains and steep hills.

As it sits my thiry six has six  4 foot 4x12s, 2 six foot 4x12s (sidewalk savers), four 2'x3'x8" chunks of glue lamb and six regular pads. And always on the look out for more 4xanything or larger!

In Florida with a 61 all I used was the medal pad with the factory 12"x36" wood pads, two or three under each foot on the booming side. Same pump in Texas, 6 to 8 5' 6x6 under each foot no matter what. That makes for 30 of them on that pump, and about once a week i wish I had more.

All depends on where you are and what you do. No hills in FL but lots of slope set ups in TX. Ive used all 30 6x6 just on the front legs and wished i had some for hte rear.

the last company i was at i carried 6 4x8 5'ers, just enough for one front leg on the working side, anything more it better be supplied on site or someones not doing their job right, and now i mostly run line pumps again, but if i had a choice, id set up an area on the pump for about 20 5' 4x6s or larger.

Well for me since we have a crane company as well, we sometimes get the cut-off gluelams, they vary from 3ft at times to 6ft and, are 6 inches thick by 10to16 inches wide. Heavy as hell but, the dont break and, dont sag at all. I also carry some 4x4s and 2x4s as levelers as well.
