My family and I went to a convalescent home to pass out flowers and hang out with the old people. After being there about 30 min my 15 year old son came over and asked me. "how do they get so old" lol I told him one day at a time.

My Grandfather, whom I am named after, told me long  ago, your lucky if you get old.  He lived to 87.  Drank like a fish, smoked a pack of Camels everyday.

I guess it is time for the older bucks to relinquish the reins.

We that have been here for so many years and feel the pain everyday you wake, can only hope that the ones we nurtured thru our days, will stand up and make us proud.

I know of one that I mentored, AND HE MAKES ME PROUD!

No bullshit, PAID ATTENTION, and will be a blessing to this Industry for many years to come.

We need many more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try passing one with diabeties.  They say it can't be done, but let me assure you, when there's a will theres a way.  It aint easy but i do it for the love of the job.  Oh and the money aint to bad either.

still waiting to see a doctor on the hearing. The company i work for is letting another operator with a cdl drive me and the pump to jobs. It sure is nice to have freinds and a company that cares.I am training him to run the pump. So if i dont pass he will be the new pump operator and i will be running other eqiupment.

Hey onehit, glad you are recovering and Im just alittle surprised the doctor after you told him you had a stroke still gave you the card ? From my experience as long as you can hear and see they prety much pass ya .

Sorry dlee7729  I feel your pain, just check on a hearing aid place and then retest again . Most likely you will pass when you do it again. This could be a postitive thing also by catching your hearing loss early it may be able to be corrected thru hearing aids and ear plugs when you are on the job.

good luck with your retest
