The concrete pumping business seems to be a very hard place to get rich. When someone figures out a way to do that there are those that don't rejoice at the happening. Bitterness sometimes overrides the logic of the situation.

People are a success for different reasons. Family money, foresite, planning, attitude, lots of reasons contribute to a success or failure. The old saying 'all is fair in love and war' is also true in our business. If it is legal then it is fair.

If you have been wronged - litigate.

If you have been bested - learn from the experience.

Ethical question # 99. Is it better to fret over what has happened or think of a path to make sure tomorrow is a better day?

Your choice is to be bitter or better.

Must have been some pressure by those that know they have "taken advantage"  Myself I am not one of those taken advantage of - but the stories - oh the stories! LOL

The one thing about the message board that makes me mad is the anonymity. There can be no credibility in anonymity. I would like to discuss this with you but I don't believe in ghosts. ;~)

Hey, i just wanted to let you know that i did not delete your post because someone called and complained or anything like that, i did it because every time I leave a post like that up everyone starts to slander everyone and it just because a big mess. Hey Todd, The post was not meant to be used as a place to put the names on the board who act this way but rather as a point of discussion. Bob has pointed out that there is nothing wrong in the minds of some people to do whatever they can to make a buck! Even if it involves taking advantage of the average persons good will and niavete (I know I really misspelled that. My point is the industry will never "Grow Up" and all the problems will continue as long as there are a significant number of Manipulators taking advantage of others. What this really says is "Operator beward - "DO NOTHING UNLESS IT IS IN WRITING BY YOUR ATTORNEY" This should apply wether you are being offered a "piece of the pie" or if you are buying pumps to go into business - don't belive how easy it is to make money - the guy selling you the pumps is for sure going to make money and in many cases will wait for your failure so they can walk in and either take over your company or buy your pumps at a bargain price.

It is not that I have no sympathy or empathy for the victims of these underhanded deals; I do. It is that if anyone believes the line of bull from one of these con men he probably won't make it anyway. IN WRITING is right. And if you want it to be legal then have it reviewed by a republican supreme court judge.

It is not fair.......... but it probably is legal.
