Jon Kemp is waiting longer these days to get paid for his concrete pumping services, forcing him to file liens on some residential projects. He’s not alone. The average number of mechanic’s liens filed each month in Davidson County had doubled this year compared to 2007, according to American City Business Journals research. Last year, 130 liens were filed in the county. This year, 215 liens were filed through Nov. 7. That’s an average of 22 liens a month, up from 11 last year. |

If your builder ask you to help him out than you should go out and file as soon as possible. It just means he is having problems and the ones that file will get paid and the ones that help him out by not filing will help him out again by not getting paid. |

if you dont have your money in 60 days you should start proceeding with a lien most times just the threat will get you paid, if not your ahead of the game and when they sell that house you will get your money |
