Finaly after quite some years they give me a 42 putz with EBC and this stabilization program. First day I was sceptic but once you get used to it: WOW thank you putz or schwing or who ever invented this. That system works!!!! I LOVE it!!!! What a canonpump!!! |

What is ebc? |

EBC is "Placing efficiency increased through technical innovations
“Mechydronic” is the term for the ultimate combination of mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems. Putzmeister’s years of experience in these areas have enabled the company to develop the innovative Ergonic Boom Control (EBC), a computer-based system for controlling concrete placing booms. As a result the pump operator has an easier job and can service the construction site more effectively. The boom arms are moved using an infinitely variable, remote-control joy-stick. The boom and end hose move smoothly, thank’s to EBC. This is a decided advantage for high output.
EBC means more all-round comfort, safety and cost savings because of the high productivity of the concrete pump. All in all, it’s an Putzmeister innovation that sets standards in the industry.
Following on from EBC, there are further Ergonic modules that facilitate day-to-day work on the concrete pump and make its operation more efficient. EOC for example – the Ergonic Output Control – maintains the engine’s speed of rotation at an efficient rate. Or EPS – Ergonic Pump System –undertakes the control of the concrete pump and ensures an optimised pumping process." |

Nice copied VASA. It works like this: Jou unfold your boom. Put the end hose on the required hight. Than switch on the EBC and use your right joystick to move forward, back, left, right. The computer will keep the end hose at the right hight. Besides that there is a system for 'boomdancing' When the boom starts to dance pull the left joystick to the left and the comp. will stabalize the boom. Now that's awsome ;-) |

I know how it works , I run it since 6-7 year or even longer . It was with the first generation of sensors on the boomparts . When it had more problems than todays generation ! My pump is 2.5 year now and We have not change one sensor yet ! On the old pump could We change one a month....

I had the opportunity to play with this systeem on a 52/5 putz, awesome systeem, you can drink coffee, roll a smoke and operate the boom at the same time.
the danger is that you get spoiled and loose your touch with old fashioned way of operating the boom.
maybe when I'm old and grey I will use it , for now let me play with my "nintendo" and walk around some hosemen by hand |

Well you do still need a bit of feeling for he stick. It's not like you can just pull the handle like crazy. And I found out it's hard to trust the system. I had a wall on the 3th floor yesterday and everytime I started pulling towards me in the far corner it went up about a meter. So I had to adjust and then it suddenly went down to far again. After a while I just swiched of the fckn system. Did it manualy. Much better. But on a straight forward poor I still think it's nice. Is it still like that with the newest pumps?? Or is it because this is a bit older pump. (About 5 years) Anyone?? |

Lock the first section , it is so on brand new ones to . On some hights it's a must to lock boom A and B or switch it of . When you switch it of the EBC witch mode do you set it in ? Nr 1 or 5 ? |

I have not figured out the modes yet. On my remote EBC is pos. 2 It has been a madhouse so have not looked in the book yet how I should 'lock' the different sections and so on.. But Good Tip!! It is actualy also like that when you drive yourself. On great hights its better to leave the first sections in the same possition. |

Pos . 1 is manual with boomdamping .
Pos . 5 is manual without boomdamping (If you should do it 100% right you should turn of the key on the receiver) . |

I believe mode 1 is by hand but controlled by ebc and mode 5 is all by hand. In mode 5 the boom is a little bit nervous. Mode 3 is for auto unfolding. |

You adjust the hight buy turning the joystick , same when going down in a form just turn the joystick and it goes straight down . |
