WE HAVE USED OURS TO PUT OUT FIRES BEFORE THAT WERE HARD TO GET TO BUT IT IS OF OUR OPINION THAT CONCRETE PUMPS DON'T MAKE GOOD FIRE TRUCKS. BUT IF YOUR IN A BIND IT WORKS GREAT. THEY HAD AN ADAPTER MADE WERE FOUR HOSES COULD BE HOOKED UP TO THE BOOM AND BYPASS THE HOPPER.

I'LL GET WITH MY AREA MANAGER AND SEE, IT WAS HIS DEPARTMENT THAT USED IT , IT WAS FOR A GRAIN BIN AND THE IDEA WAS TO FLOOD IT WITH AS MUCH WATER AS POSSIBLE, AND IT WORKED, IT WAS A 45 M .I RAN ACROSS THE ADAPTER AND WAS TOLD THE STORY.

Sometime back in the 90's I remember my father getting a Schwing fire boom to take and demo to firehouses around here.  All I remember was that it had a man basket to go up in, not sure of the size of the boom as I was too young then.

Now I'm really going to show my age  but-In 1980 we converted a 32xl to accept the firetruck pumper to the deckpipe in Rifle,Colorado.  We had a great guy named Billy Montiveer and a few other that were on the volunteer dept. and they came up with the idea.  It's always fun to think back about western Slope concrete Pumping-what a great co. and Cliff Mays was the BEST!
