I know putzmeister is a dirty word, but this pump fit my budget. it is a tts2065. the control panel is thomsen, serial #198. The trailer is putz though, with serial # 00000000000000001. 16 0's and a 1. Does anyone know these old pumps?? Do I have the first one? I bought it from Brundage in Witchita, who got it from CPS....

You may already know that Putzmeister bought out Thomsen as a gateway into the US market in about 1982. (Their pump had previously be sold as Pecco's throught the tower crane company, American Pecco, and was an elephant trunk or c-valve machine.) At first, all Putzmeister were branded Thomsen.  Thomsen had created the Thomkatt pumps and name just prior to the buyout.  After the existing stock of pumps were gone Putz started using similar pump modules which they built in Gardena, CA. (The may have shipped some modules from Germany, I don't recall).  It seems likely that you have the first Thomkatt produced by Putz.  It would be interesting to know how much, if any, of it was built in Germany.
