i had the sasm problemm 2 years ago with a 38 meter putz it was new and we were swapping the pipe and went by the parts book to order new pipe and it came up short , we ordered a replacement pipe 3/4 of an inch longer and it worked. i repiped again last summer and when i ordered new pipe we ordered the short pipe on b section 3/4 inch longer and it lined up perfect.

start from the ass end of the pump and always try to leave a gap between the pipes when clamping them up. a little gap thru out the boom system makes up that 3 quarter inch u lost

bri hit the nail on the head, but i have had situations where you had had to take or add 1/2 to 1 inch either way just the way things are good luck

when you buy a new putzmeister when they pipe up the boom they use gaskets with the rubber in the middle that gives you a 4mm gap between each pipe when you replace your boom pipes you put on gaskets with the middle missing so the collors of your pipe touch the other pipe and on a boom of 32m and up thats a lot to find or make up

hey are you guys repiping in the craddle or unfolded.. Every putz we've done, we have had to put it in the craddle and everything lines up, even my 61 went back w/o a hitch, all folded up..

I have always repiped in the cradle. I use regular bushing's {no inner lip} and the bushings with the lip. I alway's start from A section and work back. Pipe measurement  never is  the same as the manual,so measure twice then order. When I get the pipe I put it on ,clamp it, put the bolt  stirrups on but leave  them loose  enough that you can pry them(FREELY MOVE BUT NOT FALL OUT!!)  Then go out in the  yard and stretch the boom inall configurations even bounce it  to get the boom to flex a little.  then retighten the stirrups.    I have had no problems this way . I was wondering what everybody else thinks to.

RIGHT ON, YOU HAVE THE BEST ANSWER YET. IF YOU LEAVE EVERYTHING LOOSE EXCEPT THE METRIC CLAMPS AND OPERATE THE BOOM, IT SHOULD ALL FALL IN LINE, THEN TIGHTEN UP EVERYTHING. THIS WILL WORK FOR ANY PUMP MANUFACTURE.

I always reboom in the cradle except when doing the deck pipe.
