Does not sound like fun. Gonna need more cement or the fly ash. What are you pushin it with? |

I've line pumped a slab fill mix with 100kgs of powder per meter mostly sand with a little stone and lots of water it pumped fine while pumping but if you stopped it was very hard to get moving. I don't think it would boom pump very well as the added pressure of pushing up hill will push out the water and pack it like a sand castle. We did about 200 yards through a tk50 just pumped slowly and we had a steady supply so we didn't have to stop |

How many yards? For another $4/yard just go with 6 bag and be safe. |

It will be pumped wit putz booms 40 m max and it's 5000 yd so adding anything is not much of a option unless we can convince redi mix about flyash. |

Why is fly ash not an option? I can see them not wanting to add more powder as they likely don't want to increase the strength too much. Perhaps you can do a test run at the Redi mix yard and play with the mix a bit. Maybe a slick pack in each load would help as well. I had some exposed agg mixes that wouldn't pump and after putting a slick pack in the mixer it went without issue |

We are only the pumper and do not control the crete but the redi mix plant does not carry flyash and is not set up for it so u can imagine trying to convince them otherwise . |

Put enough flyash in and and you can pump anything but a 4 sack mix you need a 9 sack mix why cause you self trouble, I always had control of what I pumped, If they want change let someone esle pump it. |

Pumping abrasive sand mix might wear out your system. I used to pump mud jacking material and it was like liquid sand paper. Hopefully your getting like at least 5-8 bucks a yard. |

Funny how they always come up with that they want to pump an unpumpable mix and then act like its your problem.. |

440 pounds of cement , 6-8% air and a shit load of water and it will pump , may have them put in some pump aid , we always test a mixes pumpability before a pour of that size with flowfill to insure it will pump and not have any issues on a job, keep the schwings off of it or you'll be changing piston cups every 1000 yards. |

4sk is the minimum I like to pump, it will wrk if you have good sand and a high slump... Will pump like a water. I had a friend yesterday pump 2 sk with a 42 putz but like. 15 slump. Key is you don't want to stop for too long or it will bleed out and you will have as and pocket. The machine can only do so much so I would tell them another sack ot two is cheap insurance and you can get the job done with no issues. If they have VMA additive you will be fine ,VMA makes rough mixes pumpable it's great stuff ! Ive had great results with this product ..... Look into it you won't be disappointed !
