I am having issues with a flowfill job , the mix just isnt a pump mix and there is not money in the job to sweeten the mix to make it pumpable, here is my question, I have read posts on a product called VMA a viscosity reducer does anyone know where I can purchase or get in touch with the manufacturer of this product any info would be appreciated

If there's no money for a couple more sacks of cement, they're not gonna throw $$ @ VMA....  I don't think it'll help anyway if the mix has less than 2 or 3 sacks, the amount of "additives" to make it a "pumpable" mix is going to cost more than the cement, No? Let us know what Fritzpack has to say, Pudg....

Can't get a belt in there??

Isn't that just the story of our lives.  An unpumpable mix design that we have to sweeten up ourselves to pump.

I like the belt idea.  Not everyone has a belt though...

Let us know what additive you choose, how much extra it costs, how well it works and if the customer pays you for it.

ok here is the deal exxon wants something they can excavate without a hammer seems as though this mix is what is best for them its not the money its about being able to excavate without jackhammering the material out, belt would be great for some but would not reach it all 45m and still adiing 40-50 ft of hose somedays trying to make it were we can pump it its about 6-8 months of work for this pump hate to have to pull off due to not being able to pump it but have already burnt one set of cups up not wanting to scar or ruin the material cylinders

I dont know what bag mix you have but,1 or 2bag is enough take out 800lbs of sand and replace with flyash that is a pumpablr mix without cost. talk with RM co. to equal out the weights of sand ratio to flyflash good luck

This brings back this one job I did once for the exact same reason,"they needed to be able to excavate later"....  The RM company did EXACTLY what PumpIt said, they took out sand and added a bunch of ash, something crazy like 30% ash..

It was a 2 sack mix, less sand, no rock, & 30% flyash... Pumped like butter through my 47 schwing and 50' of 4" rubber... God awfull messy though!!!!  Turned everything BLACK...

Here's your aswer,  Hi yeld betinite. I was using 2 sack for a job. After that i was to pump straight sand with 3 bags of betinite. I thought they were crazy, but it pump better then the 2 sack. its about 6 dollars a bag here.

Is there any liguid air in it? I just did 100 yards of that stuff and would add 1 gallon to it just before i pumped. 30 gallons of water didn't hurt either.

A few years back I did a job pumpable backfill. It was 3\8 rock / sand & a lot of soap . If i rember it also had some fly ash.It pumped great and wash out was easy. Run that by your people.
