Panaji, Oct 18 :'Putzmeister', world's numero uno manufacturer of high capacity concrete pumping equipment from Germany, better known as 'Plaster Master' worldwide, now makes its entire range of internationally acclaimed equipment and machineries at its factory based at the Verna industrial estate.

These equipment are extremely essential for the construction of high-rise buildings, power plants, ports, refineries, metro rails and other large scale constructions projects.

In India, the German giant aims to change the construction for better by making the sites of high-rises more automated thus less time and cost consuming and decreasing risks of fatal accidents, involved in manual construction techniques.

Mr Michael Schmid-Lindenmayer, managing director of Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt Ltd, while interacting with the mediia persons, said that India’s infrastructure and real estate market is expanding significantly by the day. Merely 10 per cent of these infrastructure development activities in India have so far been automated which involves substantial amount of time, cost and hazards. So there prevails huge growth opportunities in the country.

He said Putzmeister has operations running all across India and its machines are being used in most massive infrastructure development projects in the country such as construction of oil refineries in Gujarat, airports construction at Delhi and Bangalore, hydro-electric power plants, DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) and various other projects have benefitted by the use of Putzmeister latest concrete pumping equipments. As a result, the company has received an overwhelming response for all projects across the country thus motivating it to invest further in expansion activities in India.

Putzmeister machinery was recently used during the rescue operations at the tsunami and earthquake affected Fukushima Nuclear Plant in Japan. Even 25 years back when Chernobyl nuclear disaster occurred Putzmeister machines were deployed to control the nuclear disaster.

In India, the company aims to aggressively increase its operations across the country and contribute not only to the modernisation of the construction and infrastructure segment but also essentially increasing its investments in the country and thereby creating numerous job opportunities.
