Wage some companys 14 $US p.h. no overtime no nothing. Concretemixer driver 14 $US. Or 16 $ US +meters pumped, line hooked on. Or 18,5 $ US nothing else. Is that a good wage how is it in the US. Canada from 25-30 $CAN plus 50% after 8 hrs and Sat. if in Union doubletime on Sat. and Sundays.

I am German and worked in Canada (Edmonton, Fort Mc.) i dont pump in germany no more these guys are Fu**** up they pay you as a mixerdriver the same as CPO which can not be true (responsability etc.) also there are a lot of east europeans over here they work for a bullshit wage.

Wow to think I wanted to work in Germany.Thats a pretty low wage.I moved to Edmonton in oct.The company I work for pays from the high twentys to mid 30s.My union scale is about $42 in California. It depends on the state.Oh I heard Canada is not allowing work visas for construction trades.Tough times as you know.

Well my man its propably harder to get a work permit for US citizens than for it was for me i really think about going back to CA. It all depends on the company in one hand in the other hand i made mor bucks with other jobs but the thing i loved pumping have been the cribbers the guys on site that was always awesome the junior boss from the company was a nervous wrack and in the beginning i had a older Putz32m roll which had like other Putz problems to suck the sponge back because of the turret pipes the turret pipes are really often leacking air. No probs i had with the 36 and 42m concorde, alliance pumps. Anyhow i liked it wintertime is even better because theres the frozen mud etc.

And the best part of it is that the owner of a pump can make about 30$ Can p.h. with a minimum of three hours that will be lets say for you on a 1 hour job not even 2% of what you will earn for the companythats just crazy these guys are really bad they have ballon of office guys 3 girls for the bills 3 dispatchers and propably 3 bosses and everybody lives from the money you are making for the company even if you have found a good job with lets say roundabout 26$ Can. you make the money for those guys sitting on the table doing nothing than bulshitin around and you get peanuts for that kind of work. All what i can say to all the companys pay your people good that makes your company running.

At the Canadian company the boss himself did the dispatch on single man for about 30 pumps one girl for the bills the daughter for paychecks and one mechanic also with one salesman on provision and a safety guy thats it. This is was i call a good thing in germany you work for a ballon of cityslickers doing nothing but smalltalk and drinking coffee while you are out there in wind, rain for a fist full of nothing after tax.

And that administration for a company of about 4 to 6 pumps. Now think if you would like to work for such a company!. Never because no operator no pump is going out no money is made.

$42 an hour???  is that before or after vacation/pension?  man, a year ago, OE local955 "Industrial" base wage was $33   +vacation+$4.50pension. and that was topped out.  didn't matter if your in a 32m or 55m.

chico,  other then being all f@%$ed up, invaded and shitty wages; much pumping going on in germany?  got dual/citi so dont need visa.  i know how you feel.  you know what you do?  go to someone elses country, hehehe

i spent 90% of my time in the plants and the rest at condo/apartment jobs.  cant afford to venture around the world right now, but one day perhaps...

ass holes are everywhere.  thats why i love being up pump operator.  put in ear plugs, stand on/close to the pump. Problem solved.  lol
